Responsibility

Cyngor Gwynedd, jointly with Isle of Anglesey County Council, is responsible for your personal information.

Why we need your information

We need information about you, and your child, in order to provide you with a service.

This will involve collecting personal details such as contact details but also more sensitive information about your child’s health and needs.

The legal basis we rely on to do this is Article 6(1)(c) and (e) of the General Data Protection Regulation. The relevant legislation is the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal Act (Wales) 2018. For sensitive information, we rely on Article 9(2)(g) and Article 9(2)(h) for information processed by the health service.

Who else will receive the information

We share the information with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, schools, nurseries, Careers Wales, Grŵp Llandrillo Menai and other education partners, and Gwynedd and Anglesey Youth Justice Service. We will only do this where it is relevant and appropriate.

How long we keep it

We will keep the information until your child is 35 years of age.
